I am nearing the end of my Spring Break from work. It's been amazing! I've had so much time to relax, get things done around the apartment, spend lots of quality time with Emma, and just enjoy being pregnant. Everyday I feel so different. One day I'm energetic and getting tons accomplished, the next day everything is a chore. One day I have hardly any appetite and the next day I'm hungry every hour or so. At least I've been able to roll with the punches since I haven't been to work in a week. The baby has definitely dropped, as I am now getting up about 3 times a night to go to the bathroom and who knows how often I go during the day. S/he is still moving around a lot. There isn't much room for him/her, so it's mainly just stretching, which is a little uncomfortable for me. Sometimes her/his little butt just sticks out the side of my belly for hours and it feels like it is bruising me from the inside, but at least I know s/he is healthy and comfortable. I'm still doing prenatal yoga, which I love, love, love and walking a lot. I thought I'd be more bed-ridden at this point, but I'm managing to stay pretty active (don't get me wrong, Emma and I have had some amazing hour + naps this weeks together).
Rudy and I are just trying to practice patience. We are so eager to meet the baby and now that the apt. is all ready, we have the pediatrician picked out, my hospital bag packed, etc. etc. we just feel so ready. I can't wait! The doctor told us the baby is already 7lbs. based on the head and thigh bone, but I don't know how accurate that is. My friend's baby was over a pound smaller than the doctor told her when her son was born a week later, sooo, we'll just have to wait and see. We are just taking things day by day now, since the baby is officially full term and could join our family at any moment. I'm pushing for Earth Day now, which is also my grandma's birthday - April 22nd. How awesome would that be for me to have my baby on Earth Day!
